Artist statement

Tomos Sparnon's practice is an exploration of man’s relationship with his fellow man, with the world, with objects, with himself and with God. Through different media including painting, drawing and sculpture, his aim is to capture his experiences and encounters of things not seen with the naked eye, such as thoughts, memories, contemplations and the spiritual. His desire is for his art to contain an ambiguity, an uncertainty, an oddity and play with the viewer’s perception of reality.
